Ranya Salvant is a Co-Founder of the Black Women Empower Collective. She serves as the organization's Budget and Finance Co-Coordinator, Entertainment Coordinator and Food/Beverage Co-Coordinator. She’s originally from Ft. Lauderdale, FL and is representing BWEC Tallahassee. She is a graduate from Florida State University and currently works as an Accountant, Tax Auditor, and a Certified Wedding and Event Planner. Ranya empowers Black women by always striving to be herself in order to lead by example. She also tries to use her connections to network and to support those who need exposure. Ranya is a lifetime sister of the Alpha Xi chapter of Sigma Iota Alpha Inc. She currently serves on the charity runathon commitee for Girls on the Run of the Big Bend, as well as serving as the council’s lead SoleMates Coordinator and Community Outreach initiative. Ranya recently took on the role of being a part of the Whale of a Sale Committee for the Junior League of Tallahassee. She is an active member with the Women for FSU and the Florida National Organization for Women. In addition to Ranya’s projects, her overall career goal is to become a Forensic Accountant for a criminal justice agency. Afterward, she wants to serve on the local and state level by providing assistance to communities through financial education initiatives. Ranya plans to continue sustaining the Black Women Empower Collective and making it branch to many different cities.
