Vanity Duran is a Co-Founder of the Black Women Empower Collective. She is originally from Tampa, FL and is representing BWEC Tallahassee. She currently works as a Research Assistant and as a Freelance Content Creator. Vanity empowers Black women by leading from example. She is a sister of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority Inc. and has served as its Sisterhood Enhancement chair and Social Media Chair. Vanity has initiated several platforms such as Florida A&M University’s Hispanic Student Association, UNIDOS; Where CURLS (Creative Uplifting Resilient Ladies) Talk, a support group for women of all ages to network, build connections, and be free; and Veeality TV, a motivational speaking and good news YouTube channel. Vanity’s goals are to make her mark on the world by reporting on positive and good news. She believes that when people are aware of good news, they’re more likely to be influenced to do good which will lead to world peace.
